Once you have been diagnosed with cancer of the foot and/or ankle, it is only natural that you will begin to worry about your options for treatment. Working with Mill Creek Foot and Ankle Clinic, we will be able to show you all of the options that are available to you in terms of foot and ankle cancer treatment in Redmond.
These are just a few of the different cancers of the foot that you could potentially be diagnosed with that we will be happy to talk with you about treating:
Plantar Fibroma – This is a tumor of benign tissue, or a growth that forms on the plantar. This is the bottom portion of the foot. Unlike a plantar wart that will grow on the skin, these will grow deeper inside on the plantar fascia, which is a thick, fibrous band in the foot.
Malignant Melanoma – This is a skin cancer that is completely curable, just as long as you are able to catch it early. While it only accounts about one perfect of all skin cancers, malignant melanoma is known to account for over 60% of deaths from skin cancer.
Giant Cell Tumors – These are benign tumors that occur in the tendon sheath. These are masses usually found on the toes, as well as the side or the top of the foot. Some patients may also have these tumors deep inside their foot and they usually present as being irregular, firm masses that are painful in nature.
