Full Job Description:
Full time certified MA (medical assistant) needed in busy podiatry office. Previous MA experience preferred. We are looking for a person that can work closely with the Doctor, is energetic to keep up with our very busy schedule, a self- starting, multi-tasker with an emphasis on self- confidence. Podiatry experience a plus, but not required. We will train in all aspects of podiatry care. Applicant must be comfortable with working with patients of all ages, and love our patients as much as we do!

Experience:
Medical Assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
EMR Systems: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical Terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

License:
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred)

Additional Duties:
Room patients, input accurate history of present illness, Rx, pertinent history – with Attention to detail!
Prepare patient to be seen by Dr., i.e. dressings removed, callus softener, remove brace, etc.
Accurately apply taping to patient’s feet, and instruct patient on care
Debride (cut) nails
Preform / develop /load digital x-rays
Set up for surgeries and office procedures
Assist in office surgeries
Clean and set up instruments
Remove sutures, dressing’s and casts
Apply braces, boots, and casts
Accurately use computerized Gait analysis scan / Order orthotics
Dispense accurate information to patients regarding pre and post-op care
Post-operative phone follow up
Clean and stock exam rooms
Inventory
Order supplies
Call in prescriptions
Triage patient phone calls
